‘All The Wicked Girls’ by Chris Whitaker

‘Darker, With Less Humour’

Score: 4/5

I thoroughly enjoyed ‘Tall Oaks’, with its dark humour. This, by the same author, feels a bit different. It’s another small town in America, but there’s less dark humour than before, as well as more of a concentration on accents, speech patterns and vernacular. Not as much as in ‘Raylan’, but still enough to interrupt the flow for an outsider like me.
